Swans Way were/are

Rick P. Jones - Double bass

Robert Shaw - Lead Vocals

Maggie De Monde - Percussion and Vocals

Formed in Birmingham in 1982 Swans Way were a mixture of musical influences. There first single Theme from the balcony was not a hit, but thier second Soul Train (which reached number 20 in 1984) was a classic of its day. They recorded an album entitled the Fugitive Kind and released further singles - Illuminations (no. 57), The Anchor and When the Wild Calls (my personal favorite). Their music was not really like Scarlet Fantastic, but you can hear the connection, some tracks were quite experimental. The album was re-released in 1997 (tagged as a Best of) with some extra tracks, including a song called 'stay' which sadly is not the SF Single. You can see Maggie on the clips below looking somewhat different!
